Meet Your Council Training Coordinators!
The Baltimore Area Council is proud to introduce two outstanding leaders at the helm of our premier leadership training programs: Randy Baldwin, our new NYLT Coordinator, and Steve Rose, the new Wood Badge Coordinator. Both bring decades of experience, a deep commitment to Scouting, and a shared passion for developing tomorrow’s leaders—both youth and adults.
Randy Baldwin – NYLT Coordinator
Although Randy Baldwin wasn’t a Scout in his youth, he quickly saw the program’s impact when his oldest son became a Tiger. Since then, Randy has spent over 30 years serving in Scouting, holding numerous roles including Scoutmaster, Assistant Scoutmaster, District Chair, Assistant District Commissioner, and District Training Chair. He currently serves on the District Committee in Carroll County.
Randy’s extensive training credentials include serving as Course Director for Wood Badge N6 220-17-2 and NYLT 2022-2. He is also the recipient of the District Award of Merit and the prestigious Silver Beaver Award. Randy and his wife Jenny are proud parents of two Eagle Scouts.
Steve Rose – Wood Badge Coordinator
Steve Rose’s journey in Scouting began as a Cub Scout, earning the Arrow of Light before embarking on an adult Scouter career that spans more than three decades. Like Randy, Steve has worn many hats in the program, including District Commissioner, Scoutmaster, Assistant Scoutmaster, and District Training Chair. He currently serves as a Committee Member for Troop 115 in Crofton.
Steve was the Course Director for Wood Badge N6 220-16-2 and received the Silver Beaver Award in 2010 in recognition of his exceptional service. He and his wife Lisa are the proud parents of three Eagle Scouts.
