Membership Monday: Attend August Roundtable

The Importance of Attending Roundtable Meetings

Welcome to this week’s edition of Membership Monday! Today, we’re delving into the benefits of attending your District’s monthly Roundtable meetings. If you haven’t participated in a roundtable yet, here’s why you should make it a priority.

Why Attend Roundtable Meetings?
  1. Networking Opportunities: Roundtables provide an excellent chance to meet and connect with other Scout leaders in your area. There is no better way to strengthen your Unit than learning from other Unit leaders who have been in your shoes! Bounce ideas off one another and take advantage of the unique network that Scouting offers.
  2. Stay Informed: You’ll receive up-to-date information about District and Council events, ensuring you’re always in the loop.
  3. Connect with District Leadership: Engage with your District Chair, District Commissioner, Unit Commissioners, District Executives, and more! If you need help with anything, Roundtable is the place to go to receive support and answers.
  4. Resource Pickup: Collect awards, flyers, and other items you’ve requested, making it a convenient stop for all your Scouting needs.
Fall Recruitment Kickoff at August Roundtable

August roundtable meetings are particularly special as they focus on gearing up for the Fall Recruiting season. Here’s what you can expect:

  1. Starter Kits:
    • Packs: Kits include new Cub Scout family information, infographics about costs, guides for new Den Leaders, online application instructions, family talent surveys, and more.
    • Troops, Crews, and Ships: Each unit type will receive tailored starter kits to help with effective recruitment.
  2. Bonus Materials:
    • Selfie Boards: For Troops, Crews, and Ships to use in social media and at events.
    • Selfie Frames: For Packs to use in various events and on social media.
    • Vinyl Stickers: Suitable for water bottles and laptops, featuring the “Get ScOutdoorss” design.
